This Golden Hour

Valentine’s Day 2022: “I hold your hand in mine, this golden hour.”

The “golden hour” is the time before sunset when colors are warm and shadows are soft. Artists prize this special light. As years pass, I welcome golden hours that warm memories and soften loss. Gentle folk/pop with voice, piano, and violin.

Shining Stars

Warmth and light for a winter night.

I wrote this anthem for a Christmas show featuring young vocalists who perform as the ‘Shining Stars.’ I thought of year-end songs like The Parting Glass and Old Lang Syne. So I give a Celtic flavor to voice and violin.

A song of grief and healing: “May a peace blossom quietly.” Gentle folk/pop feel with piano and violin.

I wrote this song for my son Daniel’s memorial service. The images reflect my view into the woods that sad, cold winter. Others, too, have found comfort in the lyrics.
